There's nothing easy about Piura exploration, in fact only a handful of exploration companies have taken the opportunity secure land positions. On the surface it looks like a slam dunk in Piura, @ 6600 informal miners scour the landscape for gold ranking it fourth out of 24 regions in Peru. That makes about 60,000 people in Piura dependent on informal mining (@ 3 additional people dependent per miner), 15% of the regions population has a benificial tie to the sector. Yes the gold is prolific, making it one of the most desireable locations on earth to explore, yet it hasn't happened.
When I invested in Plexmar 5 years ago I had little knowledge on the complexity of the region we were dealing with. Despite the internal dismay of shareholders on the timelines not achieved, our CEO Guy never lost faith, where a lesser man would have simply thrown the towel in, he continued. It's no suprise that we've raked up a large share float due to several low ball fianancings that were necessities for our mere survival. Plexmar has been proactive where others have only watched from the sidelines, yes we have paid a price but the dividends we are about to reap are going to be staggering. Plexmar in cooperation with local and national governing bodies is going to change the informal mining sector into a lucrative enterprise for all involved, from informal miner to state coffers. With this transperancy will come great opportunity in the unexplored depths of Plexmar's concessions, in fact it'll open up areas to Plexmar not currently held, as Plexmar becomes the Company of choice.
Plexmar is in what one could consider the most prospective underexplored areas on the planet. We are in a corridor of mineralization that trends north east into Ecuador. Many world class Au/Cu deposits are going to be defined, with Plexmar leading the way in Piura.
With informal mining being such a large part of the Piura economy, Plexmar in cooperation with the informal miners, local and federal government, need to form an alliance that's sustainable and viable for all parties involved. That'll pave the way for...lifetime opportunity.
