yes, Analogueman, I recall that offer; I just didn't think it was outright rejection, that there were only a few holdouts to that accord and that our new partner would actively be working on changing their minds. Well, a lot of speculation regarding that whole scenario.

maybe I've read this somewhere, or dreamt it, but it occurs to me that drilling and discovering the mother lode will be pointless unless we are producing for ourselves because of the difficulty of being bought out in the future, given our status there with the locals. Might that be an issue? I'm grasping at straws here. I'm not sure I would have chosen this route unless it would be profitable. and I don't know much about how these things work.
