Forum held in Jaén Megaprojects: Mining and Hydropower.
Representatives of leading Awajún, academics, media and national, regional and municipal governments will meet in the premises of the National University of Cajamarca October 5 and 6 to discuss the impacts that cause the mega-projects in the area northeast of the country.

Delegates of the region Piura, Cajamarca, Lambayeque, San Martin, Amazonas, Loreto and Lima will be present at the Forum "Megaprojects: Mining and Hydropower" that will address issues such as land use by the technical team of economic ecological zoning Cajamarca region, the right to prior consultation and public consultation by Ismael Vega (CAAAP) and Alejandro Laos (SER) and the status of the main mega projects in Peru by Antonio Zambrano (FSP) and Aldo Santos (SER) . On the other hand, for the second day of the event will be attended by the representative of the Movement of People Affected by Dams in Brazil (MAB), Robson fornicates and will culminate with an agenda subscription policies in mining and hydropower issues for governments local, regional and national level, which will be developed by regional leaders, social movements and organizations present.
This event will be held in the framework of the 35th anniversary of Radio Marañón and has the support of Peru Solidarity Forum, Rural Education Service (SER), the Municipality of Jaen and Tukuy Rikuy Network, Network Monitoring in the Megaprojects northern and Eastern Peru.
