Familiarity makes us comfortable with the systems we have. How often is it that a trend is often dismissed as insignificant only to find out that it was the next big thing.

Internet has totally changed the way brick & mortar stores do business. Has anyone seen an ING bank outlet? Somethings is certain to change going forward.

Avon known for ladies beauty product is today a 15 billion dollar market cap company with major institutions being shareholders. Avon markets its products through direct selling and independent representatives, as well as through distributorships.

Direct sales is here to stay and as an aside this business model has been practised since 1886 by Avon.

Needless to say it is a proven business model. An internet makes it even more efficient.
