José has over 20 years of experience in a number of senior management positions at Bombardier Transportation with responsibility for engineering, operations, manufacturing and product service and challenging international assignments. Prior to joining Railpower he was located in New York City as Vice President of Bombardier. José earned his mechanical engineering degree from Laval University.
Norm is the former Chairman, President and CEO of Alliance Pipeline. He retired from the top post at Alliance in March of 2001. His earlier gas experience includes being President and CEO of Northern Canadian Oils Limited, President and CEO of Turbo Resources, Chairman of the British Columbia Energy Commission and managing director of Fracmaster China Limited. Norm is also a director of Falconbridge Limited and Trustee of Superior Propane Income Fund.
Roland is a retired top manufacturing executive of internationally renowned Canadian corporations. He retired as Senior Vice President, Canadian Pulp and Paper Manufacturing Group of Domtar Inc. in December 2005. He also spent several years at Bombardier as Vice President Manufacturing of the mass transit division, President of the rail and diesel division, and Executive Vice President Manufacturing of Bombardier Aeronautique.
Michael is Vice-President and General Counsel of James Richardson & Sons, Limited, a Canadian private company which carries on business in a number of industries including grain handling, food processing, private wealth management, private equity investments, real estate and oil & gas production. Prior to joining James Richardson & Sons, Limited in 2004, Michael practised securities and corporate commercial law at Aikins, MacAulay & Thorvaldson for 15 years.
Bill is Chairman and CFO of CommonPoint Inc., a start-up company that develops advanced integration and simulation software. A business veteran, he is noted for developing and executing acquisition strategies. Bill was also a partner with the Hiller Group, a corporate turn-around firm with successes that included Bekins Companies, Crocker Bank, York International and Baker International. He received his BS from the US Naval Academy and his MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
Jolene was the first woman Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration, a position she held for eight years during the Clinton Administration. Jolene's innovative partnership approach and "zero tolerance" safety goals effected industry-wide change. She was designated one of Railway Age's "'Most respected and admired Great Railroaders of the 20th Century". She was President and CEO of GeoFocus LLC, a provider of real time Automatic Vehicle Location technology, from 2001 to 2005. Jolene also served in top positions at the Ohio Rail Transportation Authority and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Mark is a Vice President of MGI Securities Inc, an independent investment dealer. He began his career in 1980 as a lawyer practicing corporate and securities law in Calgary for seven years. Mark founded and was President of a public investment company (AltaFund) from 1987 to 1991. He then joined Altamira, a mutual fund manager, as Vice President, until leaving in 1998 to become an independent corporate finance consultant. Mark has played an instrumental role in raising funds for a broad array of companies in several industries, including oil and gas, mining and technology
Lorraine has over 20 years of corporate finance experience with a focus on manufacturing, multi-site operations and factory environments within renowned manufacturing corporations. Prior to joining Railpower, Lorraine was Vice President of Finance at Domtar Inc. and Bombardier respectively where she was responsible for financial planning and analysis, systems and controls, and the development of costing systems. A Chartered Accountant, Lorraine spent nine years in public accounting.
Hilaire comes to Railpower with over 20 years of human resources management experience with leading manufacturing and service companies at both national and international levels. He has extensive experience in developing and managing human resource programs. Prior to joining Railpower, Hilaire was Director of Labor Relations at Air Canada and also spent nine years as Director of Human Resources for various divisions of Bombardier in France and Canada.
Mitch Gillispie has close to 30 years of experience in the North American Railway industry, gained in various positions with large locomotive manufacturers. Mitch Gillispie joined Railpower in December 2005 as a Lead Systems Engineer and was promoted in 2006 to Manager, Systems Engineering. In 2007 He was promoted to the position of Director, Field Service where he successfully reorganized that crucial function. He is renowned for his deep knowledge of the Company’s products and its customers operations. He also holds an engineering degree from the Washington State University.
Richard has extensive experience in engineering management and process development. Prior to joining Railpower, Richard spent five years at Avestor, a world leader in lithium-metal-polymer batteries. He was a senior director responsible for process and product development including cost reduction programs. Richard attained his engineering degree in physics and masters degree from the Université Laval.
Kamila has acquired extensive experience as corporate counsel at Bombardier Transportation as principal advisor in charge of all legal aspects related to the launch of High Speed trains in North America. She has expertise in bid preparation as well as contract management of large transit projects. She has also worked as a private law practitioner with Heenan Blaikie and De Man Pilotte, where as partner, she represented large maritime transportation corporations. A Bachelor at law, she also obtained a MBA at the École des Hautes Études Commerciales in Montreal.
