Redstar Gold Corp(TSX.V:RGC) is a Vancouver based junior exploration company focused on gold exploration in Nevada and Red Lake in northwestern Ontario. Redstar has formed a partnership with AngloGold Ashanti(NYSE) to explore for gold in Nevada and as part of the partnership, Redstar has acquired exclusive rights to AngloGold Ashanti's extensive Nevada property database. The database includes extensive geological, geochemical and geophysical data which are both regional and property specific. The partnership allows Redstar to rely heavily on AngloGold Ashanti's technical expertise and geophysical expertise. Redstar currently has 100% ownership of seven properties in Nevada, while continuing to develop a steady stream of projects utilizing the AngloGold Ashanti database.

Nevada is one of the most prolific gold producing regions in the world and accounts for approximately 10% of the worlds gold production. More importantly from an exploration point of view, large tonnage open pit gold deposits continue to be discovered in Nevada.

Redstar's work in Red Lake has focused on the Newman Todd property where Redstar has earned a 100% interest from AngloGold Ashanti. Previous work by Redstar has defined a large structure with near surface high-grade gold values. Historically, the Red Lake camp has produced over 24 million ounces of gold and is one of the highest grade, and most profitable gold camps in the world.
