I have spoken to a few of my peers, (other PAs, not MDs) but they seem to have a limited understanding and I get the deer in the head lights look. As far as the science and possible clinical implications of an epigenetic platform, it has not been mainstreamed enough in my opinion; ie repeated information thru journals, studies, expert opinion, etc to have any impact on the average non-research oriented provider. The few Intensivist I would feel comfortable discussing this information with and garner there feelings I have not approached yet. Perhaps in the near future when the time feels right (MDs always seem extremly busy) I will pick their brains.
