Looks as though the plan is working. The dollar is approaching 74 on the USDX and Gold is at 860, needing 853 tohold , which is 200 DMA.

I think, and hope that this is short term in nature as i think the guv boys are using rhetoric to boos the value of the dollar as opposed to actually raising rates to achieve the same purpose, which they are unlikely to do, hence the verbal jawboning to achiev the same results.

An act of pure desperation in my opinion.
