Richard L. (Dick) Findley

Chairman

Dick Findley serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Ryland and also provides his consulting services to the Company. Mr. Findley is a self-employed professional geologist engaged in exploration for oil and gas. His professional work experience totals 30 years and began in February 1975 with Tenneco Oil Company, Denver, Colorado and continued with Patrick Petroleum, Billings, Montana in January 1978. In 1983 Mr. Findley formed his own company, Prospector Oil, Inc.

Mr. Findley attended Texas A&M University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1973 and a Master of Science Degree in 1975. In December 2006 Texas A&M awarded him the Michel Halbouty Medal for distinguished achievement in Geosciences and Earth Resources Exploration Development and Conservation.

Mr. Findley is best known for his discovery of the Elm Coulee oil field in the Bakken Formation, Williston Basin, Richland County, Montana. Often described as a "sleeping giant" the Elm Coulee field currently produces more than 50,000 barrels of oil per day . In recognition of his work, Mr. Findley was named Outstanding Explorer of the Year by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists in 2006. His story has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and the National Post as well as international papers in Italy and the Netherlands. He has also been the subject of articles in oil and gas trade journals including American Oil and Gas Reporter, Petroleum Intelligence Weekly, the AAPG Explorer and Energy Tribune.

Mr. Findley has been a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists since 1974. He is also a member of the Montana Geological Society where he served as Secretary, Treasurer, First and Second Vice President and as President of the Society in 2000 -- 2001. Currently he represents Montana on the AAPG House of Delegates. He is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists and a certified Wyoming Professional Geologist. Mr. Findley resides in Billings, Montana.

Gerald J. Shields

President & Director

Gerry Shields serves as President and a Director of Ryland. Prior to moving into the corporate finance business Mr. Shields spent approximately 27 years as a practising lawyer in Calgary and Vancouver, specializing in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and general corporate and securities law. His clients included TSX and TSX-V listed companies. Mr. Shields was called to the Alberta Bar in 1981 and the British Columbia Bar in 1987. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1979.

Thomas G. Lantz

Vice President Engineering

Tom Lantz is the Vice-President of Engineering of the Company. Mr. Lantz is a petroleum engineer with more than 30 years of experience in oil and gas operations. Prior to joining the Company Mr. Lantz was Operations Manager of Enerplus Resources (USA) Corp.'s Denver office. From 1998 through 2006 he was employed as Asset Manager for Halliburton Energy Services, during which time he led the efforts for several highly successful development programs for Halliburton's clients, including the initial development of the Elm Coulee oil field. From 1980 until 1998 Mr. Lantz was employed as a petroleum engineer with Phillips Petroleum Company working in the Rocky Mountains, the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Lantz has a BSc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California and completed graduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Mr. Lantz resides in Littleton, Colorado.

James Welykochy, PGeol, MBA

VICE-PRESIDENT, CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT

Mr. Welykochy has more than 27 years of experience in a variety of professions in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Ryland Mr. Welykochy served as vice-president of institutional sales for PI Financial Corp. where, working from its Calgary office, he was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional clients with a focus on Canadian listed junior oil and gas companies.

From January of 2006 to March of 2007, Mr. Welykochy was an oil and gas analyst with Genuity Capital Markets, having previously served in similar capacities with Acumen Capital Finance Partners and Jennings Capital Inc. From February to October of 2005 Mr. Welykochy served as president of COSCO Canada Ltd., the Calgary-based subsidiary of COSCO Capital Management LLC of New York, where he was responsible for arranging financings for the firm's energy industry clients as well as advising on acquisitions, mergers and divestitures.

He has also served in investment banking and corporate finance positions with Calgary-based Rogers & Partners Securities Inc. and the Calgary office of Loewen, Ondaatje McCutcheon Ltd. From 1981 to 1998 Mr. Welykochy worked as an independent oil and gas geological consultant.

Mr. Welykochy has his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and a BSc in geology from the University of New Brunswick. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta and the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists. Mr. Welykochy will be based in Calgary.

John W. Jardine

Chief Financial Officer

John Jardine is Ryland's Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Jardine has 25 years of experience in managing accounting and financial compliance for public companies trading on various Canadian and U.S. exchanges. Since 1990 he has served as President of J.W. Jardine & Company Ltd., an accounting firm providing services to public and private companies and specializing in compliance financial reporting, company tax planning and tax preparation. From 1988 to 1989 Mr. Jardine was Vice President, Finance of Samoth Financial in Vancouver, B.C. From 1984 to 1988 he served as Vice President, Finance of Noramco Mining Corp. in Vancouver, where he managed financial compliance for more than 50 public companies. From 1981 to 1983 he was financial accountant for Andex Oil Corp. in Calgary. Mr. Jardine is a Certified Management Accountant and received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University in 1975.

Leah M. Martin

Corporate Secretary

Leah Martin serves as Corporate Secretary of Ryland. Ms. Martin is an experienced Legal Assistant specializing in corporate compliance and administration of public companies. She has been the Corporate Secretary of Ryland since 2007 and is an officer of several other publicly listed companies.

Brian J. Tingle

Director

Brian Tingle serves as a Director of Ryland. He has 12 years of experience in the resource and technology venture capital markets, serving as Director or advisor to a number of public companies. Mr. Tingle is a Co-Managing Director of a UK Firm that has raised over $150 million in equity financing for emerging public companies over the past 3 years. He was also a founding Director of a private oil and gas company with a market capitalization now exceeding $800 million. Mr. Tingle graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (majoring in Finance) in 1994.

Bryce C. Tingle

Director

Bryce Tingle serves as a Director of the Company. Mr. Tingle is Executive Vice-President, Corporate Finance and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rock Well Petroleum Inc., a large private oil company with domestic and international operations. Prior to joining Rock Well full-time in 2005, Mr. Tingle was a founding partner of Tingle Merrett LLP, a Calgary-based law firm with a practice focused on securities law and corporate finance. Mr. Tingle currently serves on the Securities Advisory Committee of the Alberta Securities Commission. He is also currently a Director of Bronco Energy Ltd. and of Rock Well. Mr. Tingle holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Alberta and a Master of Law degree from Duke University. He served on the editorial staff of the law reviews at both schools. He teaches corporate law at the law schools of the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary. Mr. Tingle also has a Masters Degree in eBusiness from Osgoode Hall Law School. Mr. Tingle is the author of Start-Up & Growth Companies in Canada: A Guide to Legal and Business Practice (LexisNexis Butterworths: 2005). He is a past Chair of the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta) Business Law subsection, an advisor with the University of Calgary's Venture Development Clinic and a business law instructor for Alberta's Bar Admission Course. Mr. Tingle resides in Calgary, Alberta.
