VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SACRE-COEUR MINERALS, LTD. (TSX: SCM, Frankfort: S5N) (the “Company”) today announced that it has received from Loring Laboratories determinations of fineness from three samples of gravity recovered dore taken from Alluvial Zone 2 at Million Mountain. The samples returned 910, 947, and 972 fine Au respectively for an arithmetic mean of 943 fine Au. These results are consistent with typical fineness of alluvial gold recovered from the region, and confirm the Company’s assumption of approximately 930 fine Au for alluvial Zone 2 discussed in its Press Release dated 28 June, 2009, announcing the preliminary test results from alluvial Zone 2 and the Company’s plans to commence test mining on the Zone.

Fineness levels above 900 fine Au are generally indicative of paleo-placer deposits which have had little or no previous workings, as: a) over long periods in a liberated state, silver dissolution often occurs in the outer rim of the dore particles, thus increasing the gold ratio to total weight, and b) dore particles in virgin deposits have not been exposed to free mercury from previous mining activities which forms amalgam, thus reducing fineness.

The Company has also now completed clearance of its remaining imported alluvial mining equipment and supplies free of Guyana import duties and Value Added Tax. The equipment is being transported to site currently. With the release from Customs of the imported goods and preparations at site progressing well, the Company is on track to commission the commencement of alluvial test mining in coming weeks.

Assay Data

The Company uses Loring Laboratories – Guyana, a subsidiary of Loring Laboratories, Ltd. of Calgary Alberta to analyze its core samples from prospect drilling programs as well as alluvial samples from test pits and auger drilling. Splits of all samples prepared are retained for check assay by ALS Chemex Vancouver, BC facility as warranted. All samples returning a value of 1.0 g/t Au or greater for the -200 mesh pulp also have the +200 mesh screened fraction analyzed for coarse metallics.

The Company also uses Loring Laboratories – Guyana, a subsidiary of Loring Laboratories, Ltd. of Calgary Alberta to analyze geo-chem and other field samples. Splits of every 10th sample and splits of all samples returning assay of greater than 5.0 g/t Au are sent to ALS Chemex Vancouver BC facility for check assay.

Technical Staff

The Company’s exploration program is overseen by Gregory B. Sparks, P. Eng., Senior Vice President Mining and Exploration for the Company. The alluvial exploration program is directed by Mr. Salim Silah assisted by Luis Gana, Wilmar Ladia and Bjorn Jeune, all Senior Project Geologists.
