rober, you are making more of it than it is. its no great mystery or challenge for SGR to have their Dore bars refined to gold bars of saleable purity ad then shipped to the bank. all these arrangements are in place already. If I recall correctly it costs SGR $1.50 per ounce to have the dore bars refined in Ontario and then the gold is shipped to the bank and revenue is put on the books.

I think RM has it right on the processing time although there are occassions when it will be longer than 2 weeks - just a question of when the decide to do a pour.  

About half the gold is recovered using 2 centrifugal concentrators from which the gravity concentrate is sent to the shaking table. this is a quick process. The table concentrate goes directly to the smelting furnace - but there it will wit untill the fire up the furnace to do a pour.

The othe half is recovered through a more complicated and time consuming process inlcuding a flotation circuit, scavenger flotation cells and then Cyanide leach circuit followed by a pressure strip vessel where the solution is overflowed through an electro winning cell from which the gold bearng electro winning sludge is sent off the the smelting furnace - again to wait there untill the furnace is fired up for a pour.
