I just posted this on the other board to hopefully add a bit of positive perspective to an otherwise dismal discussion. I am not necessarily saying anything that is new to this board, but these are my thoughts anyways, just in case it makes a difference to someone.
IMO, SGR is one of the best plays out there at the present time. Here are some reasons why I think so:
1. SGR is a developing junior gold producer in CANADA, one of the most stable parts of the world politically and economically speaking; it is also in MANITOBA which has a very progressive mining policy that encourages explorations and development.
2. SGR is an existing producer with a long history of gold production; it is not pie-in-the-sky that might happen some day. It HAS happened for years and is now again happening.
3. Efforts have been focused on accessing new richer veins and so production numbers have lagged a bit while these new areas have been made ready. They should be starting to mill ore from them soon and we will see much increased production for the rest of the year.
4. SGR has cash on hand from previous financings so should be able to reach a cash-flow positive position now without further financings.
5. SGR is still off many radar screens and so has been undervalued for what it has; that means an opportunity to buy in at lower-than-real-value, and the chance to be part of a very nice growth in SP.
6. There is a new 43-101 in progress which will show the new reserves and resources numbers; they will be significantly higher than the previous 43-101 (and the share price these days is still in the range it was when the last 43-101 was released in December 2006).
7. Meanwhile the price of gold has soared and junior gold producers have not seen that reflected in increased share prices (generally speaking - not just SGR). That cannot last and share prices will move up.
8. SGR has expanded further by acquiring rights on prime gold property near Timmins, ON.
When you start adding up all the different factors, there are many factors which are adding to the true value of SGR. It is only a matter of time until the larger investment community wakes up and realizes what is really here, and we will see the share price jump over $2.00 and over $3.00, IMO. I will not give dates - that is a foolish thing to do as it only sets one up to be wrong. But, whether it is sooner or a bit later, it will happen. Meanwhile, it is a very safe place to put your money...and to patiently wait. JMHO.
