Corporate takeovers are very similar to Don Heron's description of curling.

"You leave you front end open to get your big end laid!"

SAN's defence is "Gold!" (the front end is open in all directions!)

More "gold" attacks the "enemy's " strategy! (ie, closing a ridiculous offer!)

They (the enemy) are "groping!" An indication we (shareholders) will get our big end "laid!"

When Desert Sun was first mentioned by the Grope and Flail as a takeover prospect they were trading at $1.40. They were taken out for $6.00+ running as high as $9.00 on speculation.

$9.00 would get my "big end laid!"
