"drill holes whose assays are "in the basket" which haven't been released, but are consistant with historic grades and intersections. (Dale doesn't want to "bore" the market with "average," he realises the expectations of the mkt for SAN are "above average" so that what he's been delivering."
I think Ruf's discription of Dale's disclosure policy is as close to accurate as you can get in one line.
Its a bit of a "see the forest and the trees" situation IMO.
Eventually every drill hole is released as part of the 43-101 to show us the whole forest.
Dale seems to release results in completed groups of holes from one zone (as he did with today's NR) or signifcant portions of a planned program (Phase 1 and 2 in the deep zones).
the only time he bothers to release individual holes or small groups of holes is when it is a new/significant interesction or zone (as he did with Hinge NR's over the past months). these "trees" matter!
as far as i am concerend this is a valid policy that refelects the reality that Rice Lake Mine is an operating mine with long established trends and grades from decades of mining so results from an individaul and established zone may not be "material"as they are returned from the lab in small groups but only when looked at in total (a section of the "forest")
while results from new zones like the hinge are "material" immeidately upon confirmation as these "trees" are so large that they mpact the interpretation of the potential size of the entire "forest".
