Advanced Set of Mobile SS7 Applications to Run on Sangoma Hardware Through Sangoma's MTP2 API

Mobile SS7 Stacks, Cell Broadcasting, SMS, Subscriber Information, USSD Gateways, All Part of Joint Sangoma and Leib ICT Offering

MARKHAM, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 24, 2009) - Sangoma Technologies Corporation (TSX VENTURE:STC) announced today that an advanced set of Mobile SS7 applications are now available. Customers who require SS7 applications like Camel, SMS, USSD, and location-based services now have a cost-effective, performance-based solution.

Developed on top of Sangoma's mtpBoost MTP2 API, in conjunction with strategic partner Leib ICT, an Empowered by Sangoma partner, the gateway product range includes:

- CellBroadcaster, a product that sends SMS text or binary message to all mobile terminals connected to a single cell or a set of cells;

- USSD-Sgateway, a UMTS/GSM Service that allows interactive communication between subscribers and applications across a UMTS/GSM network;

- SMPP-MTGateway, a protocol converter that allows a high speed mobile terminated traffic to be successfully delivered without using SMSC resources, while reducing cost and maintenance of multiple information systems;

- SubscriberInformationGW, which reveals if the phone is in use and the subscriber's global position at any time based on serving cell information.

"Now custom solutions for creating new value added services can be built directly by mobile operators," said Nenad Corbic, Sangoma's chief software engineer. "Application needs are getting more and more specialized, so the sort of advanced function set is key for meeting customer demand."

"The MTP2 API enabled us to integrate the Sangoma's hardware line with our SS7 protocols stacks and applications," said Alejandro Leib, CEO of Leib ICT.

"After ten years of working on operator's switches and integration platforms, most of the problems with E1/TDM deployments are noise on the signalling channels, clock problems, and a lot of hardware/layer1 issues. With Sangoma A-series cards, we have yet to find one single occurrence of these problems."

Mobile SS7 Stacks, including MAP, CAP, TCAP, SCCP, MTP3, M3UA, are also now available for creating custom solutions for new value added services direct to mobile operators.

In addition, mtpBoost, Sangoma's MTP2 API, announced this past June, is now included in the Wanpipe Suite of Advanced Diagnostics, Drivers, and Utilities that is included for free with every Sangoma card purchase.
