SSRI is a neighbour to Seabridge , they have the higher grade snowfield deposit (roughly 3 million ounces) there which could be mined as a satellite pit and the mitchell east zone with some 14 million ounces. As mitchell east is a new discovery, there is a possibility of adding new resources there in this years drilling. In a combined mine for KSM and snowfield, the life of mine would be easily extended substantially, maybe to a 60 year mine life.
There rises the question to me, whether a larger mine could create more value with a shorter pay back time. Also a larger mine means shorter life of mine, any additional resources found would have a greater net present value (try to discount a net present value of ore to be mined in 60 years and you know what I mean)
When I look at the map of the drilling of SSRI, I liked to see the Icefield / Arbee area drilled by Sea
Does anybody know about contacts between the two companies?
Another thought: Once KSM is ready for sale, there should be a paragraph in the contract about snowfield, so that ssri won´t get a higher price than Seabridge.
By the way, I own them both, but my Sea shares have a 6 time larger weight.
