I happen to be a long term USD bear but short USD bull. The FED already signaled their intention to halt interest rate cuts and that could prop it up for the short term. None of this takes away from the fact the US must print dollars like its going out of style to dilute the big national debt in order to pay it off. Expect the dollar to tank long termm and thats good for gold.
