i'm not at all sure kimber's strategy is what the market is looking for right now. when silver standard accumulated ounces in the ground, the market was rewarding them for it. but ever since last year's credit meltdown, the market wants to see production. if/when silver standard is rated based on its ounces of silver (and gold) in the ground, the market cap will be many times what it is today. kimber can justifiably refer to a 4 million ounce gold deposit as world class, but then what is our snowfield, with 18 million ounces? if kimber can do what it says, it could have a bright future someday, but right now the market seems to focus on mining companies that are in production, or close to it.
