hmm...royce and associates owns 10+ million shares

10,378,025 according to the sec filing, or 12.87% of the company. i would not speculate as to whether this is a prelude to a takeover bid. royce is a mutual fund and they may simply think silver standard is a good investment with the stock at its depressed level. still, one company owning nearly 13% of the shares seems unusual to me. time will tell.
