this was the designed planned for the reverse of the 2010 lincoln penny:

and this was the one-pfennig coin used by the weimar republic:

fortunately, someone at the us mint saw the similarity, and now they're looking for a new design. now if we're lucky, someone might figure out the similarity between our quantitative easing and the money printing of weimar germany.
