whats up with this

people are supposed to go into gold when things go south. Well everything is going south , the market is tanking , auto co's going the way of the edsel, no good news at all. Gold should be going up not down, especially when the supply is shrinking, beats me but it sure looks as if some manipulation is going on by someone.
