SOLOMON RESOURCES LIMITED: DRILLING CONTINUES IN MONGOLIA - NINETEEN DRILL HOLES COMPLETED TO DATE IN BARUUNBAYAN URANIUM PROJECT - ASSAY RESULTS PENDING
To date, Solomon Resources Ltd. has completed 19 drill holes totalling 4,138.50 metres of a planned 5,000-metre drill campaign on the Baruunbayan uranium project in Mongolia.
Background
Solomon's Baruunbayan property and the adjacent Dulaan Uul property of Cogegobi XXK (an Areva subsidiary) lie within the Unegt depression, a broad basin approximately 100 kilometres in length and 60 kilometres in width extending from the Solomon tenures in the southwest to the Cogegobi tenures in the northeast. Solomon is conducting a diamond drill program in this highly prospective uranium district, on exploration licences covering 248,300 hectares.
Current exploration program
The 2008 drill program was designed to test the uranium mineralization potential of a broad area within the Ooshiin Govi basin, located at the southwestern end of the Unegt depression.
