R/S

posted on Sep 07, 09 05:42PM

So this topic rears it's head again. Last time I engaged it I almost lost mine. Some pretty vehement posts were lodged. Anywho, again, I say that outstanding shares are important. Those that say they aren't have their heads in the sand. People keep forgetting that an R/S by itself to make a company look better on paper is not where SPQ is. It is also not just one factor that makes an R/S successful or not. Anyone on this site would have to admit they would stay clear of investing in a company that had SPQ's shares outstanding at a price of .03 or thereabouts. It would be dicey ground. Consider what the SPQ sp would do at 100 mil combined with a stellar report. Supply and demand folks. If you can't get'em they come pricey. There are just too many considerations to dispense with an R/S without considering the specifics. I feel that KWG and SPQ have pretty junky looking numbers regardless of where they sit with Cliffs. They just don't look good adding to that the JV's which then take potential gains and dilute them even more. To me they just look more vulnerable. I would like to say that I think they'll do well financially for the the investors but then I think, based on what? It seems that investors walk around starry eyed just because a "Major" has tossed a few bob at a couple of companies. I'm not that trusting that Cliff's or any company will be giving any more than they absolutely have to. They seem to have them right where they want them..... cheap, hungry and oh so thankful.
