Jerry, you are quite correct in your assertions. We have no reason to suppose that SS should or would share his thoughts with us, although it would be informative, I am sure. You are also quite correct on the issue of facts ... the only trouble is, we have not been given any, so we are left to try and interpret what is out there.
Other posters have referred to the announcements concerning the hydromet process and the pilot plant made over a year ago. The only announcements since were hidden in the recent MD&A, indicating that confirmatory testwork was taking place in Montreal. I have made my opinion known on this, but where do we go from here? The facts are that confirmatory testing is underway, and that it is taking place in Montreal. Why confirmatory testing? What does it mean? Does it mean that there are problems with the process, or does it mean that something stupendous has been observed which has to be checked? Hopefully the latter, and that SRU is being cautious before making any announcement.
Why Montreal? Harris' group is in Montreal, so we assume that they are doing the testing, which would be logical since they developed the process. But, we also know that McGill is in Montreal, and has been involved with a NSERC Grant, so maybe the work is being done there, and they are trying to verify something demonstrated by the Harris group? We simply don't know, because no one tells us anything.
It's a fact that SRU is now chasing after moonbeams. The press release made a big point of stating that there was a 43-101 compliant report on this property. In my view, as a humble shareholder, money that could be applied to the hydromet process is now being spent on the moon. Why? Does this mean that there really is a problem with the hydromet process, and this is being followed up as a back-up option? We simply don't know, because no one tells us anything.
And what of the pilot plant? Nothing. In this case, I can sympathise with SRU, because raising the money necessary for such a venture has probably been impossible this year. But why has there been no announcements that it is being delayed? Is there a problem with it? Is it Hatch that needs the confirmatory testwork in order to engineer the pilot plant? We simply don't know, because no one tells us anything.
All I can do, Jerry, is to try and make sense of the offerings we have, the very few facts that we have. Maths was never my strong suit, and hopefully my few attempts at adding 2 to 2 have not come up with 5. However, again, we simply don't know, because no one tells us anything.
