Interesting. Despite my comment in my last post, I’m not really inclined to look at this from AD’s perspective. I’m here, as surely we all are, to maximise MY investment. Certainly, his world has changed, but has he? I think the answer to that is NO. I have been involved in trying to raise funds recently, and whilst Bay Street is a fraction of what it was, it can be done. Apart from gold, where anyone will invest if it can be shown that it is in the ground, most analysts and investors want to know not only is it in the ground, but CAN IT BE RECOVERED? Surely, in this respect, SRU has the ace in the hole, so why has it not been played?
Your assertion that SRU may have lost the Harris Group (why the ?, I wonder) and Hatch may or may not be the case. We don’t know, because we have NEITHER the TRUTH nor the FACTS, irrespective of what Maya Angelou may have said. SS is not required to step up. Why have I not stepped up, or you, or Jerry, or Lanny9 – we have all had the opportunity, but we probably do not have the buying power of SS, and based on the posts here, neither the inclination to do so.
No, I believe that there is something else. Why should AD speak and disclose the facts? Simply because he is in charge of a public company, and is required to. Not telling what is going merely fuels speculation, both good and bad, and leads to uncontrolled speculation. Most of this is negative, because SRU chooses NOT to tell. Even you, Felicia, surmise publicly that SRU has lost both Harris and Hatch, but there has been no public announcement that such is the case. Yet, somehow, we all believe this to be a fact. Starfield should act to confirm or disavow, whichever it is, because by not doing so it significantly hurts and devalues the company, and hence, us, its shareholders.
