Michael Carten, LLB

Chief Executive Officer, Chairman, and Co-Founder

Michael has more than 25 years national and international experience in the energy industry most recently as Senior Vice President Corporate and Government Finance for Nesbitt Burns. Prior to that he was a senior partner with Bennett Jones one of Canada’s leading energy law firms. He has represented some of Canada’s largest energy companies has been an advisor to both federal and provincial governments

Carten is the largest shareholder in the company. He has shepherded the Company from the first conceptual stages through technology and product development and the commercialization process as well as arranging financing and developing key strategic alliances..

Carten is a graduate of Loyola College in Montreal and Dalhousie Law School in Halifax.

Abby Badwi

Director

Abby is an international energy executive with over 30 years of experience in the exploration for and development and production of oil and gas fields in North America, South America, Asia and the Middle East including Egypt and Pakistan. He is currently the President of Rally Energy Ltd. (TSX: RAL), a public oil and gas exploration, development and production company that is active in Egypt, Canada and Pakistan. A geology graduate from the University of Alexandria, Egypt, Mr. Badwi has been an officer and director of several Canadian public and private companies. He is currently a director of Arpetrol Inc., Gastar Exploration Ltd., Rally Energy and Fairmount Energy Inc.

Cliff James, PhD

Director

Mr. James is President and Chief Executive Officer of TVI Pacific Inc (TSX: TVI) that is successfully exploring and developing poly-metallic properties in the Philippines and China. Dr. James is a professional geologist (petroleum and mining) and business executive with over 30 years of technical and financial experience in the resource sector gained throughout North America, Asia and Africa.

Robert D. Penner, CA

Director

Mr. Penner recently retired from 40 years including as a partner with KPMG Canada in Calgary. At KPMG Mr. Penner held senior positions within the tax practice and also served on the Canada Partnership Board and as Chairman of the Compensation Committee. His community service work is well recognized and he has often lectured and been published on taxation related issues. Mr. Penner is also a director of Corridor Resources Ltd, Storm Cat Energy Ltd and Terra Energy Ltd.

John M. Forzani

Director

Mr. Forzani is the founder and Chairman of the Board of The Forzani Group Ltd. (TSX: FGL), Canada's largest retailer of sporting goods. The Forzani Group operates stores from coast to coast, under the corporate banners: Sport Chek, Coast Mountain Sports and Sport Mart. Mr. Forzani has a business degree from Utah State University and is also very involved in charitable fundraising events on a major scale, across Canada. Mr. Forzani brings a good entrepreneurial perspective to the Board as he was involved with The Forzani Group�s founding and has been with the Company through its growth.

Gregory H. Nelson

Director

Greg Nelson was formerly Executive Vice President and Chief
Operating Officer of First Solar, the world’s largest manufacturer of thin film solar PV modules. Mr. Nelson has more than 20 years experience in managing the transition of technology companies from
product development to commercial success.

Derek Howell, C.P.I.M.

Director of Operations

Derek Howell is responsible for Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing and Customer Support since 2003. A seasoned manufacturing executive with more than 20 years experience in the telecommunications and electronics sector, Howell was previously Operations Manager for the Microwave Communications Division of Harris Corporation in Alberta, where he had responsibility for New Product Introduction, Supply Chain Management, Outsourcing Strategies and establishing global logistics processes for Wireless Communications systems. Prior to that he has worked with Motorola, Novatel Communications Ltd and Nortel. Howell’s extensive experience has enabled the Company to effectively transition from product development to volume stable manufacturing, meeting manufactured cost targets and maintaining tight controls over product quality and inventory management.

David Carten

Director of Sales & Marketing, Co-Founder

Based in Barcelona David Carten is responsible for sales and marketing in Spain – the company’s most important market . Fluent in Spanish, Mr. Carten currently resides in Barcelona where he is responsible for product launch and marketing in Spain and for the Company’s major relationships there. Carten is a graduate of Dalhousie University in International Development and from Queen’s University’s Executive Marketing Program.

Brent Harris, P.Eng.

Director of Technology, Co-Founder

Brent Harris has contributed to the technology and product development process since inception. Harris is an inventor of the Company’s key patents and he has led the commercialization of the Company’s products. Very knowledgeable about solar and wind power as well as the many fuel cell technologies he also participates in developing and marketing new product applications. Harris graduated from Queens University in Ontario in Electrical Engineering.

Axel Hartung

Director of Business Development, Managing Director - Europe

Axel Hartung is responsible for Sustainable’s operations in Europe and is based near Frankfurt Germany. Hartung has more than 10 years of experience in marketing and sales in Germany. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Hartung was the Business Development Manager for Diehl Controls, a part of “Diehl Group”, one of Germany’s leading industrial companies. At Diehl Controls, Diehl’s electronics division with an annual turnover of $400 million, Hartung was responsible for the development of new markets and product lines—including solar photovoltaics. Hartung has a deep knowledge of the European solar power industry and relationships with many of the industry’s major players. Hartung is a Business Administration Graduate from the University of Fulda.

Roger Fredette

Controller

Roger Fredette is responsible for financial reporting, internal controls, accounting and compliance requirements. He brings 20 years experience in financial management and accounting expertise. A strategic planner, Mr. Fredette has successfully orchestrated the purchase and financing of two corporations. He has been the financial controller of both private and public corporations with annual sales in excess of 40 million dollars.

Mr. Fredette�s financial background includes experience in the banking, manufacturing, retail and distribution and high technology sectors. Mr. Fredette is currently pursuing a Master�s degree in Business Administration at Heriot�Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is also nearing completion of the academic requirements for the Canadian Institute for Chartered Accountants.
