Overview

Trade Winds Ventures Inc "TWD" is a well funded Canadian based public company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. The shares also trade on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the symbol of TVR.The company’s primary focus is to enhance shareholder value by identifying, exploring and developing world class gold projects in Canada.

Current properties under development have been targeted due to successful results from extensive geophysics and drilling having already taken place during prior work programs. Trade Winds Had focused most of it attention and resources, On Block A , in the Detour Lake area Where Placer Dome mined more than 1.7 million ounces of gold. This area in Ontario Canada is where both the Detour Lake and Red Lake/Birch Lake mining districts, are located, and which host some of Canada’s largest and most profitable mines. The company has a 43-101 compliant resource of 804,391 ounces in the indicated category using a 1 gram per tonne cut-off, and 1.499 million ounces in the inferred using the 1 gram cut-off.

The Block A property currently operated by Trade Winds is a 50/50 joint venture between Trade Winds and Detour Gold Corp. (DGC - TSX).

Trade Winds completed it's 50% earn-in from Pelangio Mines Inc. in May 2006. Pelangio then sold their 50% interest of the Block A property to Detour Gold Corp in January 2007.

The company also owns a 100% interest in the following properties: Dardanelle; Treasure Mountain; and Nunavut. In addition, Trade Winds owns 80% interest through its Chinese Subsidiary, in the Tuole property Xinjiang, PRC. , and 60% interest in the Silu property in Guangxi province of PRC.

The Silu Zn/Pb property

Located 3 hours via highway northeast of the capital city of
Nanning
Situated 6 km southwest along strike from the 3,000 tonne/day
Panlong Zn/Pb mine - reported resource of 27 M tonnes @ 3.7%
zinc (non NI 43-101 compliant)
Strataform zinc/lead ore deposit, hosted by dolomitic limestone
along 3 km of strike length
Exploration permits cover an area of approximately 30 km2
Excellent infrastructure – located 1 km from the town of Silu
4 metres of 14% zinc discovered by local artisanal miners. These two Chinese properties have been vended to a wholly owned susidiary of Trade Winds Ventures, Western China Mining.

The company has indicated that it will spin-off Western China Mining shares to it's shareholders as a divident in early 2008.
