Appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of TransGlobe in December 1996. Has served as a director of the Company since October 1995. More than 30 years of oil and natural gas exploration experience in Canada and international locations. From 1988 to 1996, senior geological advisor with Petro-Canada, including Resident Manager of Petro-Canada (Yemen) Inc. from 1989 to 1993. Senior project geologist with Canadian Occidental in Yemen in 1987 and, between 1979 and 1986, supervisor of international exploration with Ranger Oil.

Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Director
Appointed Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and a director of TransGlobe in April 1999, when Moiibus was acquired by TransGlobe. Prior thereto was President, Chief Executive Officer and director of Moiibus Resource Corporation since January 1997. A professional Engineer with more than 29 years of domestic and international oil and gas experience. Prior to Moiibus, had been with Ranger Oil Limited since 1982, serving in a variety of technical and management/executive positions including Vice President - Canadian Production from 1993 onward. A petroleum engineer with Rupertsland Resources (1981-82) and a production, evaluations engineer with Hudson's Bay Oil & Gas (1975-81).

Joined TransGlobe in June, 2001. A professional Chartered Accountant with more than 22 years of financial management/reporting experience. From 1999 to 2000, Chief Financial Officer with NorthStar Drilling Systems Inc., with Myriad Energy Corporation 1998 to 1999 as Chief Financial Officer, Archean Energy Ltd. as Vice President of Finance from 1994 to 1997 and Eagle Resources Ltd. from 1982 to 1994 as Vice President of Finance and Controller.
