One million dollars in 1914 was a LOT of money. A million dollars today is a fair amount of money... some would call that wealthy. But the purchasing power of that wealth compared to a million dollars in 1914 is next to nothing (approx. 1% in acquirable goods or services)

Over time each dollar has become worth less and less.

Now, some countries are beginning to refuse payment for their products in dollars (you won't hear about that on mainstream news) I guess one could oficially say that the dollar is not only worth less it is almost worthless.

The U. S. dollar would be a worldwide scandal except for the fact that the other countries have done the same thing with their currencies. Even with so much currency virtually no governments are in the black; they all have unpayable debt so they just print some more useless paper.

Your question, "Where will it end?" The beast of Revelation speaks of a beast with seven heads. Each of the heads represents a human government that for a time was dominant. Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, and the Anglo-American. Rev. 17:9-11 describes the same empires and mentions an eighth kingdom which springs from the seven. That would be the United Nations made up of members from the major kingdoms on earth.

At the time John wrote the Revelation vision; Eygpt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece had ceased to be world powers. Rome was the world power and one other, the Anglo-American, would later rule for a short while.(Five have fallen, one is, and one is yet to come)

Well the Anglo-American empire has ruled for a short while and it is now broken. It is broken financially, morally, and spiritually. Since no other earthly kingdoms are shown as following its rule one must assume that the Kingdom of God in the hands of Christ Jesus will rightly take over earth's governance. That government will completely, totally, and finally eliminate all human governments from off the face of this earth. Then it will set about to making the earth the paradise that God intended it to become before Adam got mankind off to a bad start. God never fails at anything He purposes to accomplish. Adam didn't get the job done; Jesus will.

Aligning oneself with human governments and their objectives is just about the same as standing in front of the biggest steam roller you can imagine.
