Message: Congrats indeed...

Dear VMS Ventures followers,

Congratulations are in order as the Reed Mine has reached Commercial Production status.

First, to VMS Ventures’ President John Roozendaal, who pointed the drill in the summer of 2007. It was only the second hole of our first drill program in the Flin Flon Snow Lake VMS belt. It was a VTEM anomaly from our extensive airborne surveying and the drill caught just a little bit of very interesting rock that July day. That VMS Ventures discovery has now officially become the Reed Mine.

Second, to HudBay. We signed the LOI on the JV agreement in early 2010 and they have been excellent partners ever since. Their mine team has been first rate. How many mines, anywhere in the world, have come in on time and under budget.

Third, to VMS COO Neil Richardson. Neil is a former HudBay guy and knows almost all of the people working on and around the Reed Mine. His experience in the mines in the belt and the obvious shared respect he has with those HudBay colleagues have helped VMS stay close and well informed along the path to commercial production. Neil has done a masterful job for our shareholders

Finally, to our shareholders, I want to thank you for your patience. Even though seven years from Discovery to Production is a race car pace in a typical endurance car endeavour, these past seven years have seen two major setbacks in commodity stocks and, more importantly, resource development or exploration stocks. It has been tough for all.

So, we now look to higher copper prices and continued excellence from the operating team at Reed to get VMS’s 30% share of the mine producing cash flow from Reed, as early as possible. And, soon we can begin to talk about further exploration potential around and below the Reed mine and the surrounding JV claims we hold with HudBay.

Finally, I’ve included a brief article publ ished today by KC Granger at Canadian Mine Analysis.

Best regards,
