Vantex drills 36 m of 1.042 g/t gold

2009-08-07 08:47 ET - News Release

Mr. Guy Morissette reports

VANTEX RESOURCES/GALLOWAY: 36 METERS AT 1.042 G/T AU

The management of Vantex Resources Ltd. has intersected, approximately 900 metres in the northeastern extension of the Galloway zone, a large zone of mineralization over 228 metres along the hole. Received initial analysis showed the presence of gold throughout this sequence, however, the company's management has asked to make some tests of pyroanalysis with metallic sieves on some samples to verify the gold content obtained in the initial analysis.

This drill hole is located in large part in a syenite porphyry and in a lapilli tuff which is the same geology encountered in the drilling carried out on Galloway. According to historical data, other drill holes (95-12 and KHD-08), containing significant gold values and located in north-eastern extension of the hole VHD09-19 also intersected the same mineralized zone.

With this hole, the Galloway zone could now be recognized on more than one kilometre.

"We are very pleased to see the confirmation of the northeast extension potential of the Galloway zone. Despite a difficult market, we continue our work and try to identify, by drilling and stripping, areas of gold enrichment that will enable us to better estimate the economic potential of this very large-tonnage deposit," said the executive chairman of the company, Guy Morissette.

Drill holes VHD09-15 and VHD09-16, located respectively at 160 and 200 metres northeast of VHD09-01 have also encountered significant gold values. Thus, the drill hole VHD09-15 cut the Galloway zone over 388 metres along the hole (.344 gram per tonne gold) including 70.50 metres grading at 0.648 gram per tonne gold and 27 metres at 1.04 grams per tonne gold, while VHD09-16 cut the same zone on a width along the hole of 239 metres (.430 gram per tonne gold) including 92.50 metres grading 0.734 gram per tonne gold and 13.50 metres at 1.709 grams per tonne gold.

(i) Results along the drill holes

All samples are tagged, bagged ans shipped to Laboratoire Expert Inc., Rouyn-Noranda, where 30-gram pulp samples are prepared and assayed for gold (FAA). Gravimetric assay repeats (FA) have been completed on samples with grades over 1.0 gram per tonne gold. A strict QA/QC program including random insertion of blanks, standards and duplicate samples, has been followed throughout the sample preparation. The NQ-size core is logged, sampled and split in two at the company's core shack in Rouyn-Noranda.

Work in progress

Stripping work is currently under way in the sector of the Soaker Hill showing, on the Hurd block, as well as in the area of the new gold showing Jacob-Desjardins, located on Ogima North block discovered by prospecting during the month of July.

Exploration work is being carried out under the supervision of consulting geologist and National Instrument 43-101 qualified person Jeannot Theberge. Mr Theberge has read and approved this press release.
