Major Gold Produces's Earnings This Week Likely to Move Gold Stk Index to New Highs

Regardless of whether or not we get a bi-partician debt agreement, major gold producer's stock earnings will be the overriding factor for their near term price movement. The following three companies will report their earnings this week and they account for over 30% of the market capitalization for all the major gold producers. Gold Corp (GG) will report their earnings after the close on July 27th: BarrickGold (ABX) will report their earnings on July 28th; and Newmont Mining (NEM) will report their earnings on July 29th. With gold prices experiencing a sustained advance, the earnings/cash flow from these companies should be extraordinary. Quite frankly, I would be surprised it we don't continue to see substantial increases in dividends and/or acquisition the of junior gold exploration companies that are fundamentaly sound - like Victoria Gold.
