WebTech Wireless Announces Major Government Sector Sale to the Commonwealth of Kentucky

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 27, 2009) - WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a leading provider of vehicle location-based and fleet telematics services, announces that it has finalized a three-year contract, and initial sale of 273 model WT5000 LocatorsTM, with the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Department of Administrative Services, Fleet Management Division. This exclusive vendor agreement allows all state, county and city agencies to purchase the WebTech Wireless solution through a single contract, realizing substantial savings and efficiencies, and could eventually cover all of the Commonwealth's more than 7,500 vehicles.

This solution for government brings together WebTech Wireless' proven in-vehicle Locator devices and online QuadrantTM fleet management system, with AT&T Mobility's reliable wireless network. AT&T Mobility® is WebTech Wireless' U.S. carrier partner. It highlights the ability of both companies to provide government agencies with innovative fleet management tools including: track and trace, green technology, and specialized applications such as snow plow solutions. These are greatly enhanced by WebTech's Wireless' recent acquisition of Grey Island and its InterFleet® brand, with its considerable experience working with public sector fleets.

Commenting on the sale, Anwar Sukkarie, President & CEO of WebTech Wireless, said, "We're thrilled with the progress we've made with AT&T® in the U.S. market. It has proven to be the perfect pairing of our market leading technology with AT&T's extensive sales channels and solid relationships with government and commercial customers. It also reaffirms our decision to acquire Grey Island and the accumulated expertise they have in the government sector. We're already seeing very positive results, and the potential is indeed great."

Harald Fritz, Senior Director ASP Sales and Services at WebTech Wireless, said, "Even in a challenging economic climate, we're witnessing that governments are seeing the benefits in the comprehensive solution that WebTech Wireless provides. The ROI for public fleets as well as commercial ones is crystal clear, and we're pleased that this was borne out in the Commonwealth of Kentucky's selection process. This initial sale represents tremendous opportunities for everyone involved."

This latest sale underscores WebTech Wireless' commitment to providing custom made solutions for a variety of organizations that depend on efficient and effective mobile resource management.
