WebTech Wireless Announces Changes to Board of Directors and Committees

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 18, 2010) - WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a leading provider of vehicle fleet location-based services (LBS) and telematics technology, today announced that Scott Edmonds, WebTech Wireless' President & CEO has joined the board, that it has realigned its board committees, and that Andrew McLeod, the company's external counsel, has been appointed corporate secretary. In addition, the Company is announcing that William (Bill) Corcoran has resigned from the board. Mr. Corcoran's addition to the board was first announced on December 11, 2009.

The Company's board committees have been adjusted as follows. Glen Brownlee will be leaving the Audit Committee to be replaced by Paul Christie, who has also joined the Corporate Governance Committee. Dru Narwani has been appointed Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee, replacing Peter W. Roberts in this position, allowing Mr. Roberts to focus on his continued role as Audit Committee Chair. Len Metcalfe will continue to chair the Compensation Committee. Following these changes, the company now has five independent directors being Messrs. Brownlee, Christie, Metcalfe, Narwani and Roberts, and two management directors being Mr. Edmonds and Owen Moore, the Company's COO.
