Depending on industrial growth and output for Chinese factories prices of tungsten could be artificially maintained at required prices. China has the supplier power in this metal and is excercising it.

Xiamen Tungsten Co. Ltd a China-based tungsten smelter and processor, announced that its controlling shareholder Fujian Metallurgical (Holdings) Co. Ltd has raised its stake in the company to 34.17% from the previous 33.60%.
