The jobs situation is ugly for sure, but its always been a lagging indicator as a market timing mechanism. Maybe we'll top out at 9.5% or so during this cycle, get a rebound in growth taking us technically out of recession, then crash & burn again. Its then when gold may take out new highs after truly all the stimulus ammo has run out. They won't be able to stimulate again without pumping more T's in the economy.
