I saw a Smart Car in the Sam's Club parking lot here in Reno, Nevada today. At least it is a step in the right direction. This ICE car is rated at 34 miles per gallon in town and 40 miles per gallon on the high way, however it is recommended to use premium grade gasoline. I have seen 2 different ZAP trucks in Reno. So far, I have not seen a single Zenn automobile EV. During the recession you and I will not see very many new automobiles of any kind, but during the late recovery phase...say Summer or Fall of 2009 we should see lots of new hybrid, PHEV's and EV's out on the roads and high ways. Once the public has discretionary money again things should take off, at least for those PHEV and EV manufacturers that have affordable models for purchase. Bill
