Airbus has decided to come up with the replacement of Flight Recorder

Europe's biggest aircraft maker Airbus corporation intends to begin developing a new transmission system flight information, which would eliminate the use of flight recorders, the so-called "black boxes". As reported by AFP, told the French newspaper Le Parisien Airbus CEO Thomas Enders (Thomas Enders).

Corporate managers explained that one of the options under consideration is the transfer of data on the flight to the satellite in real time. According to him, such a system is already used for monitoring the technical condition of aircraft, details of which shall be transmitted promptly ground services and technical support.

Professionals are sometimes faced with the problem of extracting information from "black boxes" because they can not always be found after the accident. The latest such incident occurred in the summer of 2009, when the Atlantic Ocean fell Airbus A330 airline Air France, which was carrying 228 people.

Communication with the aircraft was lost in 350 kilometers from the Brazilian coast. Later, rescuers found the wreckage and the bodies of some Airbus of the passengers. However, the flight recorders could not be found, since the depth of the ocean in the disaster area is five kilometers.

Information about the development of new technology for maintaining flight data has already appeared in early August. As reported by the British Internet publication The Register, devoted to new technologies, the Canadian manufacturer of air navigation facilities AeroMechanical Services announced the testing of the new data transfer system, which enables you to record information from the "black boxes" in real time.

It is assumed that the data will be transmitted via satellite Iridium, which have global coverage. The only problem is the narrow range of frequencies, which use these satellites for data transmission, so the Canadian specialists working to improve the compression technology.

It is expected that the new equipment will be the voice channel that can be used as a satellite telephone, as well as the alarm button for reporting the hijacking, and other emergencies that are not related to technical failures ..
