Tribute Intersects More High Grade Zinc at Arrow Zone

posted on Dec 15, 06 04:49AM

20.3% Zinc, 1.23% Copper over 3.05 metres "10 feet true width".

TORONTO, ONTARIO, Dec 13, 2006 - Tribute Minerals Inc. (the 'Company' or 'Tribute')(TSX VENTURE: TBM) is pleased to announce the return of preliminary analyses of samples from Hole GL-2006-39 drilled to test the central up-dip portion of the Arrow Zone. The hole intersected a section containing massive zinc, iron and copper sulphides grading 20.3% Zn, 1.23% Cu, 0.47 g/t Au and 28.06 g/t Ag from 339.1 - 343.1 metres down-hole (3.05 metres true width) and included two samples grading greater than 30% Zn. The hole was collared 30 metres west of previous hole GL-2004-09 and replaces hole GL-2003-01 which intersected a down-hole grade of 2.5 metres of 9.93% Zn, 0.48% Cu, 0.96 g/t Au and 21.3 g/t Ag. Hole GL-2003-01 was drilled down dip and therefore was not used in the indicated resource estimation referred to in the Company's Press Release dated July 18, 2006. The results from Hole GL-2006-39 extend the Arrow Zone locally to the west by at least 30 metres. (Please reference Arrow Zone geological long-section on Tribute's website at http://www.tributeminerals.com) <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Analytical results are still pending from 19 additional core samples from GL-2006-39 plus two more batches from GL-2006-36 drilled down-dip from holes GL-2006-34 and 35 at the western-end of the Arrow Zone and GL-2006-38 drilled directly up-dip from previous hole GL-2006-28.

Core samples were split in half using a diamond saw, sealed in secure packages and shipped by bonded carrier to S.G.S. Laboratories in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Red Lake and Lakefield for FAG303 assay for gold (fire assay with gravimetric finish) and ore grade AA analysis for Cu, Zn, Pb and Ag. These samples will be forwarded to the S.G.S. Toronto laboratory for check analysis. A duplicate unknown to the laboratory is submitted per batch of ten samples. A polymetallic standard, unknown to the laboratories, is included with each shipment of samples. S.G.S. fulfilled standard QA/QC protocols. The Confederation Lake exploration program is under the direction of Trevor Boyd, P.Geo, Geological Consultant, Tribute, and a qualified person (QP) for the purposes of NI 43-101.

The TSX Venture Exchange does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release.
