NEWS - Arianne Reports Opinaca Drilling Results: Up to 14.58 g/t Au Over 5.4 Metres

posted on Apr 10, 08 05:00AM

SAGUENAY, QUEBEC - (April 10, 2008) - Arianne Resources Inc. ("Arianne")(TSX VENTURE: DAR) (FRANKFURT: JE9) (OTC.BB: DARUF) is pleased to release the latest drill results from its 2007/2008 drilling campaign on the Opinaca property, James Bay. Preliminary results were previously announced (see March 17, 2008 press release) from this winter drilling program.

This campaign spreaded from late 2007 to 2008. Also, all but two drill holes completed in 2007 were located outside the known mineralized zones and they returned less significant results. Most of these holes were targeting geophysical anomalies, while the 2008 drill campaign specifically targeted the in-depth continuity of the known gold mineralisations of the Contact and Bull zones. We also wanted to improve the definition of the mineralisation contained within the Chino zone, located a few hundred metres from the Bull zone.

2008 Results : Chino Zone : Drill hole OPI-08-10 returned 14.58 g/t Au on 5.4 m (from 85.15 m to 90.55 m along the hole), including 28.24 g/t Au on 2.75 m. This drill hole was located under drill hole OPI-06-41 that previously returned 1.15 g/t Au on 5.5 m (from 37.8 m to 43.3 m along the hole), including 2.02 g/t Au on 2.5 m. Drill hole OPI-08-07 returned 2.95 g/t Au on 2.5 m (from 130.6 m to 133.1 m along the hole), including 4.74 g/t Au on 1.5 m. This drill hole was located under drill hole OPI-06-43 that previously returned 3.3 g/t Au on 6.75 m (from 75.0 m to 81.75 m along the hole), including 5.83 g/t Au on 3.75 m. These two drilling sections were located under the Chino showing's main vein that is outlined on surface on a strike of more than 50 metres and returned surface grades of 12.58 g/t Au on 0.9 ; 6.25 g/t Au onr 1.8 ; 7.56 g/t Au on 2 and up to 92.9 g/t Au on 1.4 m.

Contact Zone : As previously announced in the March 17, 2008 press release, drill hole OPI-08-02 returned 2.15 g/t Au on 3.80 m (from 440.40 m to 444.20 m along the hole) while drill hole OPI-08-03, located 50 m west, returned 1.87 g/t Au on 8.50 m (from 435.50 m to 444.00 m, along the hole). Hole OPI-08-02 was located under drill holes OPI-06-32 ; 06-16 ; 06-02. These drill holes form a vertical section where gold is found from the surface to a depth of 350 m (see following table):

These drill holes clearly show that the Contact Zone, discovered in 1996 and initially drilled in 2006, presents a minimum vertical extension of 350 m. The Chino Zone also show an important vertical extension, although it wasn't drilled as deep. The Bull Zone's continuity is also confirmed. The only drill hole in this location (OPI-08-05) returned gold on 2.5 metres.

The following table shows complete results for the 2008 campaign. In the coming weeks, complete results of all the drill holes will be available on the Company's website as well as the related cross sections.

Arianne's technical team will be present on the Opinaca sector (Lac H, Komo and Wabamisk properties) during next summer and we are currently evaluating an appropriate follow-up for the Contact/Chino sector. The Company has sufficient funds to pursue exploration in this area, as well as additional drilling.
