CHICOUTIMI, QUEBEC - (June 5, 2008) - The management of Arianne Resources Inc. ("Arianne") (TSX VENTURE: DAR) (FRANKFURT: JE9) (OTCBB: DARUF) is pleased to announce that drilling is starting on the R-14 and Hygrade (La Dauversiere) properties, South of Chibougamau. The campaign is planned for 2,500 m.
During last year, line cutting and prospection works took place on those two properties. Geophysical surveys (magnetometric and electromagnetic : Max Min; and Induced Polarisation) were also performed on these grids. Numerous IP conductors were identified and will be drilled.
Previous works
The discovery of the R-14 showing dates back to 1978 where channel samples of 142.29 g/t Au on 2.44 metres were reported. Arianne followed with striping and obtained samples on this zone returning: 3.14 g/t, 13.25 g/t, 15.05 g/t, 23.8 g/t, 95.9 g/t, 125.5 g/t and 176 g/t Au. 20 years ago, drilling intersections returned up to 10.6 g/t Au on 0.61 m and 21.37 g/t Au on 1.4 m. The recent geophysical works clearly identified the anomalous zones that will be drilled.
