SAGUENAY, QUEBEC--(Feb. 9, 2010) - The management of Arianne Resources Inc. ("Arianne" or "Company") (TSX VENTURE:DAN)(FRANKFURT:JE9N)(OTCBB:DRRSF) wishes to provide an update regarding its exploration projects in the James Bay area, Quebec.
Komo property : This property is adjacent to the Lithium One Inc. property and comprises the Cyr 2 lithium showing that is under option by Lithium One. The Company announces that the other agreement that was signed on September 15, 2009, was cancelled. The private company that intended to option the balance of the Komo property claims did not fulfill its commitment. Therefore, Arianne remains 100 % owners of those claims that will be the object of a precious metals and lithium exploration campaign next summer.
Opinaca property : This gold property that is 100 % owned by Arianne, is one of the most promising of the area. It is located 60 km South-West of Opinaca Mines (Goldcorp Inc.), 20 km South of the Reservoir deposit and 40 km West of the Lac a l'Eau Claire deposit, both owned by Eastmain Resources Inc. Out of the 73 drill holes that were completed on the property, 31 returned significant gold intersections. Namely, on the Contact Zone : 4.7 g/t Au on 3.1 m (OPI-06-16) and 4.0 g/t Au on 3.6 m (OPI-06-02) ; On the Chino Zone : 3.3 g/t Au on 6.8 m (OPI-06-43) and 14.6 g/t Au on 5.4 m (OPI-08-10) and on the Isabelle Zone : 31.4 g/t Au on 2.6 m.
The Company also announces the acquisition of 65 additional claims in the South-West area of the Opinaca property. These claims are located on strike with a structure that is favorable to the presence of mineralization and within the batholithe of Mistumis. The latter is the host of a recent lithium discovery announced by First Gold Exploration that is located 25 km South-East of these new claims. This geological context is also similar to the one showing on Arianne's Komo property.
