NEWS - Exploration Program to Commence at Wasi Creek Project Zinc, Lead, Silver

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(June 24, 2008) - Bard Ventures Ltd. ("Bard" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:CBS) is pleased to announce that the exploration program on the Wasi Creek Project will commence shortly. The Wasi Creek Property (the "Property") is under option from Selkirk Metals Holdings Corp. ("Selkirk Holdings"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Selkirk Metals Corp. ("Selkirk") (TSX VENTURE:SLK).

The Company is following up on the discovery of numerous large angular high grade massive sulphide boulders by previous operators. A program of geological mapping, prospecting and stream sediment geochemistry is planned over the area southwest of the Par and Carrie Horizons. This area may be the source of high grade boulders that were discovered by trenching of the Par Horizon. Two of these boulders sampled by Selkirk returned assays of 26.30% zinc, 25.98% lead, and 96.3 gpt silver, and 8.46% zinc, 42.43% lead and 384.8 gpt silver.

In addition, two creeks in that area south of Wasi Creek yielded the second best historic stream sediment geochemical response. The source for this has not been found to date. The best stream sediment response will be followed up in mapping and prospecting west of Carrie and north of Wasi Creek where new outcrops, created by logging activities, might have the potential of mineralization indicated by the stream sampling.

The Company is funding exploration on the Property under the terms of an option agreement to earn a 50% interest in the Property with Selkirk being the Operator of the program. ACME Analytical Laboratories Ltd. of Vancouver analyzed the historic samples. Exploration work on the Property is being conducted under the supervision of Qualified Person Jim Miller-Tait, P. Geo, a director of Bard., and Vice President of Exploration for Selkirk.
