Braintech Inc. Opens New Headquarters in McLean, Va.

Company Appoints Tom McCabe as President of Braintech Government & Defense Systems Inc. and General Counsel to Parent Company

In a strategic relocation, Braintech Inc. (OTCBB: BRHI) today announced that it has opened its new corporate headquarters at 1750 Tysons Boulevard, Suite 350, McLean, Va., 22102.

“We want to be able to touch our customers and prospective customers,” Braintech CEO Rick Weidinger said. “We want to grow and strengthen our Government business. Being in the Washington, D.C., area will make us more visible and provide more opportunities for growth. Our commercially accepted Industrial technology, which reduces operating costs, improves quality and consistency and increases productivity for our customers through machine vision automation, will also benefit from the proximity of relocating Braintech to the East Coast’s high-tech corridor of the United States.”

Braintech has been based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, where its award-winning Research and Development department will remain. Braintech will also open a Sales and Engineering office in Detroit’s northern suburbs in late December 2008. Braintech will provide vision guidance robotic application development, demonstration, validation and training services out of this location.

Appointment of Government Business Head and Parent Company General Counsel:

Braintech today also announced the appointment of Tom McCabe as President Braintech Government & Defense Systems Inc. (GDS) as well as General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development of the parent company.

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Tom McCabe as President of our Government Business and General Counsel for our parent company,” said Braintech CEO Rick Weidinger. “Tom and I have worked together on the same board of directors, so we will not need to take the typical transition time necessary to get acquainted to begin realizing results.”

“I am honored to join Braintech’s dynamic team,” McCabe said. “Braintech has a proven product with exciting applications in many industries. With the relocation of the company to the Washington, D.C. area, Braintech is now able to more fully explore government and defense uses for its award-winning robotics software.”

A seasoned executive with more than 25 years of legal and business experience, McCabe joins Braintech from XM Satellite Radio, which recently merged with Sirius to form Sirius XM Radio. McCabe was Vice President & Deputy General Counsel at XM, which won the prestigious 2008 “Outstanding Small Law Department” award from the Washington, D.C., area chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Prior to joining XM in 2005, McCabe was President & CEO of COBIS Corporation and MicroBanx Systems, software providers to the financial services sector. He was a senior executive at GRC International from 1992 through its successful sale to AT&T in 2000. In his early career he was an attorney in private practice in Washington.
