Toronto, Canada, October 28, 2009 – Canadian Shield Resources Ltd. (TSX V: EXP) (“Canadian Shield" or the “Company”) announces the granting of 797,500 incentive stock options on October 26, 2009. Of the 797,500 stock options awarded, 750,000 were granted to three executive officers and three directors of the Company.
The stock options were granted as performance incentives for officers, directors, employees and consultants. The stock options have an exercise price of $1.00 per share and vest quarterly over an 18-month period expiring October 26, 2012.All options granted and any common shares issued upon the exercise of the options will be subject to a statutory four-month hold period expiring February 27, 2010. The granting of the options is subject to regulatory approval.
