The good thing is that moly usage is growing at 6-8% a year. The current consumption is about 450 million lbs, so the market will need over 31.5 million ADDITIONAL pounds for the first year and compounded at a 7% rate so the next year the market needs 33.7 additional lbs and so forth.

Another good thing is that there have been strikes in South America along with lower grades of copper and molybdenum being mined in Chile that is also reducing supply.

The African copper mines generally do not have molybdenum as a byproduct, which may drive copper prices down but molybdenum prices up.

Fundamentals are looking good for the long haul
