Molybdenum in it's fabricated form is very expensive - close to $100 per pound. The blanks that are cut out of sheet molybdenum cost over $8.00 a piece and have to be shipped from China. The minting and packaging are about $7.00 per piece including shipping. So we are up to $15.00

Now here is where it gets interesting. Artwork and dies cost $350 per die ( 2 needed for minting) BUT the molybdenum is so hard that the dies crack the blanks or mushroom the dies. 4 sets of dies have been used to mint only 200 coins. As you can see not much profit in it. I am hoping the minting process will be ironed out so that the dies will not have to be replaced constantly.
