The positives and negatives

posted on Oct 29, 08 07:21AM

Given that Creston is economic and has robust returns at current molybdenum prices; the question would be supply/demand and pricing of molybdenum in the next 2-5 years.

It is of course impossible to predict what will take place that far in advance but the positives are that a world slowdown will mean less molybdenum supply. The negatives are slowing consumption of molybdenum in this scenario and possibly lower prices. The great wild cards are China growth and the opening of the Climax mine in Colorado. Alot will also have to do with new oil and gas pipelines and nuclear power plants being built.

We are walking along a crest of a mountain and it could go either way. It is possible that if the mine is built and moly holds up in price the stock may go to $10.00 per share. On the other hand it could turn out like zinc, with mines unprofitable to operate or very low profit.

So, keep one eye on China and watch news on the Climax for any changes.
