If Samsung owned the patents essentially for using flash in portable devices they could exert a price advantage over other rivals like Apple by getting them to pay license fees. If you think our patent claims are big with a prominent IP litigation firm like Duane Morris taking our case on contingency think of how big it will be with a top dog company like Samsung behind it. I would say its possible the "obligation" that had to be met was/is the buyout (or contracting) of DM as EDIGs representatives.
