Here is what I didn't finish writing in my other post because of time and discretion. But since you mentioned what I was thinking...............

The problem is the time factor, for Fred and all the rest of us. The other factor is that he has been getting paid while we have invested real money, money that is now worth even less than when we began. We have experienced a drop in share price, the loss of potential interest income, the cost of inflation, and the loss of alternative use of the money. Hope is expensive apparently.

All this could be reversed and compensated by some huge event that pushes the share price out of the pennies and into the dollars! And finally it does seem like it could happen. But still we hope and wait.

Meanwhile, think of all the interest Fred has earned on his income, the increased  value any real estate that he may have acquired. And then there is all the money he has made by investing in stocks, one in particular of course. Dah……

Talk about having faith in one's self !
